The International Chanthaburi Gems and Jewelry Festival 2025 reaffirmed Chanthaburi’s role as a global gateway for the gemstone trade, highlighted by the success of its Buyer Invitation and Trade Mission Program alongside structured Business Matching activities that delivered clear and measurable economic outcomes. The event reflects the growing strength and international competitiveness of Thailand’s gemstone and jewelry industry on the global stage.
This year, a total of 390 buyers, both domestic and international, participated in the business matching program. In addition to Thai buyers, participants came from seven countries and regions, including the People’s Republic of China, India, Myanmar, Italy, Australia, the Republic of Guinea, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The program facilitated 221 business matching meetings, generating a total trade value exceeding THB 235 million over the six-day event.
The success of the festival was driven by the leadership of the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) (GIT) as the principal organizer and a key national agency supporting and advancing Thailand’s gem and jewelry industry. GIT plays a vital role in promoting international trade, elevating Thai entrepreneurs to global markets, and strengthening industry knowledge, standards, and trust across the entire gemstone and jewelry value chain.
The International Chanthaburi Gems and Jewelry Festival 2025 further reinforced Chanthaburi’s unique position as the City of Gems, with a fully integrated ecosystem spanning upstream, midstream, and downstream activities — from production and processing to trade and tourism promotion. This underscores Chanthaburi’s continued progress toward becoming a regional Gem Trading Hub and City of Gems, supporting sustainable economic growth into the future.
